ADDIS ABABA — The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention has launched a continent-wide disease surveillance network designed to detect and respond to health emergencies more rapidly. The network connects national public health institutes across all 55 African Union member states.

The system uses advanced data analytics and real-time reporting to identify potential outbreaks before they spread. Africa CDC Director called it “a game-changer for pandemic preparedness on the continent.”
