JUBA, APRIL 16, 2026  — His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit has commended the ongoing Biometric and Headcount carried out by the Ministry of Public Service and Human Resources Development, saying this would help eliminate ghost names in public service.

This came  through a detailed report from Minister Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, who said the initiative is aimed at

ensuring that public servants are registered  and counted so as to remove duplication in all departments.

Hon. Ezekiel Lol said the meeting also touched on addressibg the settlement of pension payments, political and security issues, with the President expressing his commitment to peace, ahead of the country’s general elections in December this year.
