The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Changkuoth Bichiok Reath, has convened with the UNESCO Representative to South Sudan,  Yayoi Segi-Vltchek, over strengthening cooperation in the education sector through enhanced higher educational policies and improving UNESCO's support for institutional capacity building, infrastructure development, and the provision of equipment. The two sides also discussed expanding access to higher education for young people, including refugees and returnees. Minister Changkuoth described UNESCO as a strategic partner and welcomed its continued support in advancing higher education, science, and technology in South Sudan.
