Djibouti City, May 8, 2026 — The President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, has arrived in Djibouti City to participate in the official inauguration of H.E. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, who will be sworn in on Saturday for a sixth consecutive term.

Kiir was received upon arrival by Djibouti’s Prime Minister, Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed, alongside South Sudan’s Ambassador Baak Valentino Wol and other officials.
