Juba, May 15, 2026 — His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit this morning bid farewell to the body of the late former Chief Justice, Ambrose Riny Thiik, during an official farewell ceremony held at Juba International Airport.

The body of the late former Chief Justice was transported to his hometown of Luonyaker in Gogrial East County, Warrap State, where he will be laid to rest.
