JUBA, JUNE 1, 2026 — President Salva Kiir Mayardit received a gift from SPLM Cadres in Lakes State as a gesture of appreciation for the appointment of Dr. Akol Paul Kordit as the SPLM Secretary-General, and for canceling the planned transfer of Rumbek Senior Secondary School to Rumbek University of Science and Technology.

The gift was formally presented to the president by the SPLM Third Deputy Chairman, Comrade Simon Kun Puoch.
