JUBA — The Transitional National Legislative Assembly has passed a comprehensive Election Security Bill designed to ensure peaceful and credible elections in December 2026. The bill establishes special security protocols for polling stations and creates an independent electoral security committee.

The legislation also criminalizes voter intimidation and provides for the deployment of unified forces during the election period. Parliamentary Speaker commended the bipartisan support for the bill.
