The National Parties Alliance NPA Gains A New Member: Gen. Phillip Stephen Dak Onwar Chairman and C-n-C of SSUNF/A Join NPA.

General Philip Stephen Dak Onwa, the Chairman and Commander In Chief of the South Sudan United National Front and Army (SSUNF/A), has made a significant move by joining the National Parties Alliance (NPA). This decision reflects his deep commitment to promoting peace and stability in South Sudan by coming together with other like-minded parties who share the same goal.

The NPA, led by the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), was founded with the aim of fostering peace in the war-torn country of South Sudan. The alliance was established as a platform for different political parties to work together towards a peaceful resolution of the long-standing conflicts that have plagued the nation for years.

General Philip’s decision to join the NPA holds particular significance as SSUNF/A and the Patriotic People’s Party/Force (PPP/F) were left out of the 2018 agreement that brought together the SSOA and OPP. The other parties such as SSUF/A and R-SPLM/A, led by General Paul Malong Awan and General Pagan Amum were members of SSOMA. By joining hands with Hon. Joseph Makuer Nyieth, the Chairman of PPP/F, Hon. Molanna Nyanthon Rou, the Chairperson of SSUF A-NIM, and Hon. Garang Barach Aduotdit, the Chairman of R-SPLM/A (who took over the leadership of Real SPLM/A after Gen. Pagan Amum joined United People’s Alliance (UPA), General Philip is exemplifying his belief in unity as a means to bring about positive change.

The NPA’s core mission of promoting peace resonates with General Philip’s vision for a peaceful and prosperous South Sudan.
