National Parties Alliance (NPA) Holds Press Conference to Announce Creation of Joint Forces


Juba, South Sudan – The National Parties Alliance (NPA) held a three day conference between July 28th 2025 to July 30th, 2025. And today to announce the creation of a Joint Forces unit among its member parties. The NPA, comprised of the South Sudan United Front / A – National Inclusive Movement (SSUF/A-NIM), the Patriotic People’s Party / Force (PPP/F), and the South Sudan United National Front / Army (SSUNF/A), will now operate collectively under the banner of the National Parties Alliance / Joint Forces (NPA/JF).
The decision to create a Joint Forces unit was made in response to several key factors, including:
1. Strengthening Unity: By coming together under a single umbrella organization, the member parties of the NPA aim to strengthen their unity and coordination in working towards common goals and objectives.
2. Enhancing Effectiveness: By joining forces, the NPA member parties are able to enhance their effectiveness in advocating for political change and promoting peace and stability in South Sudan.
The decision made to unify the forces under a single military command in the following order:
- Greater Upper Nile Region
- Greater Equatoria Region
- Greater Bahr El-Ghazal Region
- Abyei Administrative Area
- Pibor Administrative Area
- Ruweng Administrative Area
The objective of this unification is to prepare for any potential political and military developments in South Sudan. The National Parties Alliance Joint Forces (NPA/JF) will serve as the foundation for building the future national army to ensure the protection of the people of South Sudan and their homeland.
It is important to note that the decision to create a Joint Forces unit does not signify a desire to wage war against the government of South Sudan. The NPA remains committed to peaceful and constructive dialogue as the way forward for resolving the country’s political challenges.
The National Parties Alliance / Joint Forces (NPA/JF) looks forward to working collaboratively and strategically towards advancing the interests of the people of South Sudan and promoting a brighter future for the country.
