They have also stated that they are open to dialogue with the government in order to find peaceful solutions to the country’s problems.

Overall, the formation of the National Parties Alliance represents a significant development in Sudanese politics. It demonstrates that different opposition groups are willing to put aside their differences in order to work towards a common goal of peace and stability. [Ramciel, South Sudan, April 4, 2025]

The National Parties Alliance (NPA) proudly announces its commitment to fostering justice, peace, development, and prosperity in South Sudan. At the core of our values stands the principle of uniting all parties, regardless of their ideological leanings, in a collective effort towards progress and unity in our nation. The NPA represents a coalition of diverse political parties, including the Real Sudan People Liberation Movement/Army R-SPLM/A, South Sudan United Front/Army National Inclusive Movement SSUF/A-NIM, and Patriotic People’s Party (PPP/F).

These parties, having been part of significant initiatives like the Tumaini Initiative in Nairobi, Kenya, are now dedicated members of the NPA, championing the cause of a better future for South Sudan. While the Real Sudan People Liberation Movement/Army R-SPLM/A and South Sudan United Front/Army SSUF/A-NIM were previously affiliated with the South Sudan Opposition Movements Alliance (SSOMA) and the Tumaini Initiative, they have now realigned their efforts and joined forces with the NPA. Similarly, the Patriotic People’s Party / Force (PPP/F), formerly a member of SSUNA and alliance partner with the South Sudan People’s Movement/Army (SSPM/A), has chosen to unite under the NPA banner in pursuit of a shared vision for the country.

The NPA is unwavering in its mission to promote justice, peace, development, and prosperity in South Sudan. By embracing inclusivity and collaboration, we believe that we can pave the way for a brighter tomorrow for all citizens of our nation. The Principals We Stand Behind.

1. Unity: The National Parties Alliance (NPA) promotes unity among different political parties to work together towards common goals and objectives. The alliance emphasizes the importance of collaboration and solidarity to achieve a unified front in political decision-making and governance.

2. Diversity: The NPA recognizes and values the diversity of member parties, acknowledging that each party brings unique perspectives, expertise, and support to the alliance. The alliance embraces diversity and inclusivity, ensuring that all member parties are represented and heard in the decision-making process.

3. Accountability: The NPA upholds the principle of accountability, holding member parties responsible for their actions and commitments within the alliance. Transparency, integrity, and honesty are fundamental values that guide the alliance’s governance structure and operations, ensuring accountability at all levels of leadership and decision-making.

4. Uniting all political parties under two ideological frameworks of Conservative Views and Liberal Views within the National Parties Alliance (NPA) in order to promote coherence and unity among member parties. This will help streamline the decision-making process and ensure a common vision for the alliance.

5. The National Parties Alliance (NPA) has two systems in which the military system operates only at the party level. This means that each party is responsible for its own army. On the other hand, the Coalition operates only at the political level.

We call on all political parties and stakeholders to join us in this crucial endeavor to build a better South Sudan together.
