This latest engagement reflects the government&#8217;s ongoing commitment to advancing South Sudan&#8217;s developmental and peace objectives as the nation prepares for its upcoming democratic transition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">JUBA, OCTOBER 21, 2026 &mdash; His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Wednesday received a briefing from Senior Presidential Advisor Kuol Manyang Juuk on security conditions, educational initiatives and road rehabilitation efforts in Jonglei State.<\/p>\n<p><span>Hon. Kuol Manyang briefed the President on his recent visit to Bor, where he launched construction of a facility to house digital agriculture equipment at Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On security, the Senior Presidential Advisor reported that conditions had stabilised following the appointment of Caretaker Governor Moses Majok Gatluak, whose appointment had been welcomed by the population.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Kuol highlighted poor road connectivity as a continuing challenge affecting movement and access to essential services.
