The Office of the President remains focused on ensuring that the electoral process is conducted in a free, fair, and credible manner that reflects the will of the South Sudanese people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">JUBA, October 13, 2026 &ndash; The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has commended the government and people of South Sudan for their participation in the ongoing inter-party dialogue on election-related matters, which is expected to conclude in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p><span>The commendation came during a meeting in Juba on Tuesday between Minister of Presidential Affairs Hon. Africano Mande Gedima and IGAD Special Envoy Ambassador Moussa Djama Ali. The two officials discussed progress in the electoral process and preparations for the upcoming elections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Hon.
