The training aims to strengthen the capacity of media practitioners and government communication officials to provide accurate and responsible election information to citizens ahead of the 2026 general elections. The SPLM Secretary-General, Dr. Akol Paul Kordit, officially has opened the specialized training programme, organized by the Presidential Press Unit and facilitated by expert trainers from FELT Africa Election Readiness Training, reminding media practitioners of their historic responsibility as co-founders of the Republic and role models for the younger generation.
